HOW TO SHOP

Welcome to adirondackdirect.com!

If this is your first time visiting our site or shopping with us, we want to provide you with some useful information before you start shopping so you will know what to expect.

  1. Just browsing…If you are not ready to shop and just want to review our products, click on any links to the far left of the site and they will take you to the category or product you want to see.
  2. Just want a catalog…click on the tab at the top that says “catalog” and you will be able to see our different catalogs and request the ones you want at no charge.
  3. Looking for something particular….just go to the Search box at the top right side of the page and type in a keyword or model #. If we have the item, it will take you to where it is.
  4. Want to know everything we have on the site….just click on Site Map at the bottom of each page.
  5. Want to know model numbers and sizes…you will see this information included on each product that you look at.
  6. What do products cost….you will see the cost for each product on the page with the picture/details for that product. Please note that the prices vary depending on the number of pieces you are interested in buying. Also you should note that some items come in packages of two or more which means that you will have to buy in those quantities indicated (not just one piece). Lastly, we offer volume discounts on larger quantities and on orders over $5,000 depending on how much/what you are buying. Please call one of our Sales Representatives: 800 221 2444 for details.
  7. Want to compare several items that interest you on a page….all you have to do is click on/put a check in the box that says “compare” by each product. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “compare”. It will bring up the 2 or 3 items so you can review all the details together.
  8. Want to get back to the Homepage….just click on the Home word at the bottom of each page.
  9. What about color swatches and finishes….you will see these shown by each product. If you want to see them up close, click on Zoom. If you want to order them for a product you are considering, click on Request Swatches.
  10. How will you pay…we offer four different payment options: Open Account, Check, Telecheck and Credit Card. If you want to request an Open Account, you will need to fill out an application form. You will need to do that before you start shopping. Just click here for Open Account and print out a copy of the form. Once you complete the information, sign the form and fax or mail it to the address on the form. Once we have the information, you will receive an e-mail confirmation and a Sales Representative will phone you within a few days. For other types of payment options, you can decide which one you prefer and enter that information when you are ready to Check Out.
  11. Ready to start shopping….all you need to do is to click on a category or a product that you want and start viewing the items. When you are ready to make choices, click on the item you are interested in, enter the quantity in the box, then click on the Add to Cart icon. When you get to the end of your shopping and are ready to Check Out, you will be asked for specific information about your business (name, address, shipping address, how you will pay, etc.) which you will need to fill in to complete your order.
  12. Shopping Cart….at any time during your shopping process, you can click on the Shopping Cart icon and see what is in your cart and what the total is.
  13. Not ready to finish the shopping you started (too busy, have to discuss with other team members, have to get approval, etc.)…you will be able to Save Your Cart. This button will be on your Shopping Cart page. When you Save Cart, you will be asked to give the cart a name. This means that you can also save multiple carts. This way, you will be able to find the exact cart you want when you return to your shopping. You will click on Log In, enter your User ID/password and your account will come up and show you any saved carts you have.
  14. Need to share your potential buy with an associate/boss…you can e-mail the cart page to them. Just click on E-Mail on the Shopping Cart page and enter their e-mail address. Then they will receive an e-mail of your shopping cart with the items you are considering.
  15. Wondering about the cost of shipping…you will see complete information about shipping under the Customer Service section. You may want to review this before you start shopping. But also, you will see the estimated costs of your shipping for the items you are purchasing when you reach Check Out in the shopping process. At that time, you will need to put in the shipping address for the merchandise you are buying and also indicate the type of delivery you will be contemplating (Standard Tailgate, Liftgate, Inside or Carry-UP and Notify Before). We will estimate the costs for you based on your needs.
